We moved to Sydney from the United States in April 2012. There is so much to learn and so much to know, that it's impossible to do it all from thousands of miles away (in our case, 11,000 miles.) Lesley knew everything, from where to live, to how schools worked, to everything we'd need to do. She even got us interviews with four schools, which helped us make the choice for our two boys (age 8 and 12.)

Once we had schools sorted, Lesley also helped us get acclimated to the area, including things like where to shop, how to get around, and how to meet other Americans and newcomers. It was helpful that she lived in the US for years, as well as the UK and Australia. Her experiences in other countries make it easier for her to understand what we were talking about, and what we meant when we said certain things.

I can't imagine trying to handle this relocation without her help. We are actively recommending Lesley to all of our friends and colleagues considering coming to Sydney. She single-handedly reduced about 90% of our stress. Amazing.

Lesley continues to be an invaluable resource and friend in the short space of time since we moved to Sydney Jan 2012 from the UK. She is always in touch regarding services and support of which may be of benefit to myself and my family. She has boundless energy and enthusiasm and has a genuine interest in the people she is helping to settle into a new way of life. Keep up the good work Lesley, it's much appreciated! When my husband told me of the opportunity to leave the UK and move to Sydney for work I was excited but unsure. Having never been to Sydney it seemed like the impossible for someone who had never left her hometown. We spent a week in Sydney with another relocator and came home none the wiser on where we would live and how our lives would be. Having 2 pre-school and school age children we didnt have the luxury to 'see when we got there!' It felt to me that it was not going to work for us but I then came accross Lesley when I was researching the northern beaches. Just one email to lesley had me feeling like this was something we could do! Lots of emails later my husband came over on work and spent the day with Lesley who took him round the areas that we liked the look of. Lesley has proved to be an invaluable source of help, advice, sound information and support. Two weeks after we arrived we have found somewhere to live, a school for my daughter and my son is settling in to kindy! I have to pinch myself that we have achieved this but we could not have done it without lesley's help. She also continues to give help and advise on all sorts of issues regarding life in Sydney and joining her facebook page is a must! I am currently in the process of moving my family to Sydney from the US and was happy to find the services that Lesley provides not only online but also in person. Over a cup of coffee, I can't explain how much time she saved me detailing the Northern Beaches area and talking about schools to consider for my kids. We are still in the middle of our process of relocating from Amsterdam to Sydney. As part of this process I visited Sydney in November 2011 and met with Lesley with whom I had contact to prepare my visit. We have 4 children (all boys) so help in finding schools and learning about the region was important.
